For rafter span adjustment, enter roof pitch and select exterior wall size
STORIES or LOCATION
For headers and girders, select the number of building stories: 1, 2 or 3. Beam location will be selected next at the Load module.
For floor joists, select here the location of the joist: 1st, 2nd or 3rd floors.
For rafters or ceiling joist, no selection is needed.
SNOW LOAD
Enter the ground snow load for the building location.
For Basic version, the roof live load used will be either the ground snow load, or the code minimum construction load, whichever is greater.
